All About AWB

Back in 1993 AWB started out with Alex as the sole trader blacksmith.

Over the last 30 years we have developed a niche product range, hand forging architectural ironwork to a high standard.

Connecting People to The Elements

Situated between Hereford and Worcester, based in Upper Eggleton, Ledbury we regularly undertake projects for English Heritage and other conservation groups and take pride in repairing and replacing artefacts that need attention.

We also undertake one off commission forge work and with over 30 years of experience within our team, feel there is nothing too big or small to tackle. Be it a conservation company or a member of the public, we work hard with our clients to create exactly what is required.

We offer an extensive range of services to both the commercial market and private clients.

We are proud to be able to cover most aspects of metalworking, allowing us to undertake a hugely diverse range of projects. We use traditional methods where we can, sourcing and working with genuine wrought iron as well as steel and even non ferrous materials, such as copper, bronze and brass. Our coke forges are used in conjunction with gas furnaces and traditional blacksmithing tools to manipulate the material into the desired form.

We also have the capabilities and experience to undertake most fabrications, including sheet metal fabrications. We pride ourselves on our wide range of tooling and machinery to manufacture to precise tolerances any fabrication.

While AWB Engineering is primarily a bespoke engineering service we have the capabilities within our workshops to undertake most engineering challenges. We are more than happy to take on small run productions as well as bespoke commissions, so contact us to discuss your idea and see what we can do.
