Our Rat tail shoot bolts are available in three different sizes to ensure we have a bolt to suit most doors. They are specifically designed to be usable in the horizontal or vertical positions and have a spring loaded catch mechanism. This is our 4" bolt which is ideal for bathroom doors or cupboard doors. They all come with a mortice plate or staple for the receiver and are fitted using No.6 wood screws. The backplate for the bolt measure 1" wide and 4" long, the bolt has a throw of 1 1/4". All parts of the Rat tail shoot bolt are finished in a hard wearing wax which we recommend is maintained using a bee's wax polish.
